Margaret Fletcher Patrie, 87

Troy Margaret Fletcher Patrie, 87, of North Lake Avenue, died Monday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late William A. and Margaret Gackenheimer Fletcher and wife for 58 years of the late Russell W. Patrie, Sr. She had resided in Troy most of her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School.

Mrs. Patrie was a homemaker and for many years was a legal secretary for Smith, Pattison, Sampson and Jones in Troy.

She was active, through her husband, in the Troy Lodge of Elks, a member of the Speigleaires dance group and a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sister Mary Anitra, Sister of Mercy of Rensselaer and Kathryn E. 'Kit' Pettit and husband Bryan of Troy; a son, Russell W. Patrie Jr. and wife Heather of Troy; a sister, Rosemarie Bonesteel of Marietta, GA; three granddaughters Cheryl Lynn Klaven of Boston, Renee Patrie of WA and Maggie Foster Patrie of Troy; a cousin Virginia LaPorte and husband Jim of Kansas City, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother William Fletcher.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. Randall P. Patterson, Pastor of Our Lady of Victory Church, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8pm. Interment Eagle Mills Cemetery in Eagle Mills. Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Patrie to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Road Loudonville, NY 12211.
