Margaret Ann 'Meg' Ginther, 57

West Sand Lake - Margaret Ann 'Meg' Ginther, 57, of Reichards Lake Road died Saturday August 2, 2008 at her residence after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Cohoes, she was daughter of the late Thaddeus Dydych and Theresa (Dessingue) Dydych and wife for 30 years of Bryce B. Ginther

She was a graduate of the Junior College of Albany, earned her Masters in Special Education from Russell Sage College and certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired from Hunter College.

Meg was a teacher of visually impaired children in the Troy School district for the past several years.

She was a longtime active member the Church of the Covenant in Averill Park.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Amy T. Ginther of Argentina; a son, Andrew B. Ginther, 2nd Lt US Army of Missouri; a sister, Marybeth Surprenant of Brunswick; a brother, Michael Dydych of Latham and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Covenant Route 43 Averill Park with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, officiating.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc., 4392 Route 150 in West Sand Lake, on Monday from 6-8PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Margaret Ginther to the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany, Inc. for visually impaired children, 301 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12206.
