Marco Antonio Flamenco, 58

Troy - Marco Antonio Flamenco, 58, of R Street died Friday, February 22, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, he was son of the late Jose Antonio Flamenco and Blanca Hilda Erazo Flamenco. His mother dedicated her life to taking care of Marco and taught him to speak, write his name. He was bilingual speaking both Spanish and English. He had resided in North Adams, MA, later in Castleton with his cousin Natalia Multunas and family until March 2007, when he moved to 8th Avenue (an ARC Group Home) in Troy and two years ago to R Street in Lansingburgh.

Marco worked for 10 years at Price Chopper in North Adams, MA. He was a member of many clubs within the Department of Mental Retardation in North Adams, participated in Special Olympics, played soccer and basketball and bowled and enjoyed dancing. He was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church in Troy, loved church, attended Sunday school and helped with church activities, participated in Vacation Bible School and is loved by everyone!

Survivors include a brother, Rene Flamenco; his cousin, Natalia(Jules (Bill)) Multunas, Castleton; two second cousins, Joshua and Christian Multunas and a nephew, Jose Corea, CA.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Monday from 4-7PM.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10AM at the Third Presbyterian Church 113 Winter Street Troy with Rev. John McAuley, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Southview Cemetery North Adams.

Donations can be made to the memorial fund at Third Presbyterian Church for the benefit of Christian Education.
