To all the O'Brien family, we just heard of your loss of Ray. It was an honor to know him from our summer retreat at Taconic Lake.
May he rest in peace after a life well lived.

Such a wonderful family , we were fortunate enough to live across Madison st from them,,from 1946-1948. A wonderful experience for all of our family. I maintained a friendship with Terese for many years beyond and have so many memories, of sitting on that wonderful porch and passing nights in the little sitting room, beyond Rays Dads office. I know your loss must be hard to bear, but a good man is now offering up prayers for all of us still here. I am so glad an old classmate from St Marys' thought to call me and share the news., All of you are in my thoughts and prayers..

He was a great man, his spirit, good will, and kindness will be remembered and passed on to all that knew him. He was the head of the family that I considered to be my second family at Taconic Lake. Mr. O'Brien was a true treasure and will be dearly missed. I wish all his family strength and comfort at this time and the days ahead.

My sincere sympathies to the entire O'Brien family. Regretfully, I was unable to attend the beautiful services that honored him. I will always remember how special he made each kid at TLA feel. He listened to us! Or, he did a great job pretending to. Either way, he quietly earned the respect of everyone around him. He will be missed.

I am saddened at the passing of Mr. O'Brien. I know he is in a better place now, as he earned it every day. Not only was he a family friend but also he had a special way helping young boys and giving them the tools to sculpt their life. I would not be where I am today if he had not helped me learn about myself and my abilities. I will always remember Mr. O'Brien and only hope in some ways I can emulate his wonderful example of a life well served.

Sorry to read the news, Ray was our class president, Class of 1945 at St. Mary's Academy, a great person. He and Fr. John Falcone were constant companions and usually cutting up. Remember the good times.

Raymond was exceptional as were his parents, fun into antics with Fr. John Falcone years ago. So sorry, God be with you all.
