M. Therese Landry, 85

Brunswick - M. Therese Landry, 85, of Coolidge Avenue died Thursday, November 11, 2010, at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Cohoes, she was daughter of the late John T. McDonald and Mary E. Keenan and wife of the late Philip J. Landry, Jr. She had resided in Cohoes for 30 years and Troy most of her life.

Mrs. Landry was a homemaker and worked at the Court of Appeals Law Reporting Bureau. Therese was employed at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Department of Human Dimensions Center as a Research Administrator, retiring in 1990 after 16 years.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victory. Previously, she was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Church and Christ Sun of Justice. She was a member of the Social Justice Committee and started programs in low income schools, donating hand-knitted mittens through 'Warm Kids' and children's books.

Survivors include a son, Philip J. Landry III of Brunswick; two daughters, Therese A. (Russ) Kendall of Bellingham, WA and Elizabeth S. (John ) Carpenter of Seattle, WA; 5 grandchildren, Emily Landry, Katharine Landry, Karen Landry, Gus Kendall and Anica Carpenter and a brother, John K. McDonald of Cohoes. She was predeceased by two sisters, Joanne McDonald and Marilyn Kleiner and a brother, James K. McDonald.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Victory Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated by Rev. Randall Patterson and Rev. Richard Broderick.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 PM.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery Menands.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of M. Therese Landry to the Deuteronomy Fund of Unity House 33 Second Street Troy, NY 12180 or Our Lady of Victory Church 55 North Lake Avenue Troy, NY 12180.
