Luella Sheffer Riley Burt, 94

Center Brunswick - Luella Sheffer Riley Burt, 94, of Cloverlawn Road died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Charles and Etta Barnes Sheffer and wife of the late Arthur J. Burt Sr. and Leo M. Riley. She had resided in Troy all her life and attended the Little Red Schoolhouse in North Greenbush.

Mrs. Riley was a homemaker.

She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cohoes Senior Citizens, Troy Senior Citizens, Brunswick Grange, 6^th Avenue Baptist Church and a lover of animals.

Survivors include a son, Arthur J. Burt Jr., Troy; a daughter, Arlene (Peter) Miller, Troy; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Burt; three brothers, Wesley, Charles and Edward Sheffer and three sisters, Aleta Martin, Hazel Abbott and Barbara Nowlin.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Friday from 4-7.

Funeral service will be held Saturady at 2PM at the funeral home with Rev. Stephen Cordes, officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.
