Loyal M. Littlefield

August 1, 1932 ~ June 14, 2017 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Wynantskill - Loyal M. Littlefield, 84, of Tiffany Place died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Clarence Littlefield and Margaret  Goodermote Littlefield and husband for 58 years of Joan Williams Littlefield. He had resided in Wynantskill all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Bryant College in Smithfield, Rhode Island in accounting. 

Loyal was in accounting and finance for five years at the Borden Company in Menands and in the Research Foundation of State University of New York  Albany for 28 years, retiring 21 years ago.   

He was an active member and treasurer of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill and a member of the Wynantskill Fire District #1 and its secretary/treasurer for 40 years, retiring in 2008.  He enjoyed gardening, financial planning and sitting on the porch spending time with Truffles. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Korea. 

Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter, Jody Littlefield and her boyfriend, Kevin DiTondo, North Greenbush; his grand dog, Truffles; nephews, Glen (Nancy) and Gary (Debbie) Littlefield; his wife’s twin sister, Jean (Craig) Haley, Queensbury and cousins, Patricia and Richard Jones, Berlin, Patrick and Joyce Jones, VA, Larry and Bunny Goodermote, Wappingers Falls and Mary and Ken Hazard, Goshen.  He was predeceased by his twin brother, Lloyd Littlefield.

Relatives and friends may call at the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill  Church Street and Main Avenue Wynantskill on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 9-11 AM with a service to follow at 11 AM with Rev. Dawn Alpaugh, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie.
