Linda A. Zugalla RappSeptember 30, 2013
Troy - Linda A. Zugalla Rapp, 69, of Third Street died Monday, September 30, 2013, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn Albany after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born February 20, 1944, she lived in Troy, NY all her life and was the daughter of the late Earl H. Zugalla and Anne Stack Zugalla. She was a graduate of Mildred Elley in Albany, NY in which she received her Associate's degree.
Ms. Rapp was employed by the New York State Government for 28 years and worked as a clerk for the Retirement System as well as on the NY State Thruway and counted many of her coworkers as close friends.
She was a former member of the Junior League of Troy, Country Club of Troy and a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Linda immensely enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time in the casino and spoiling her grandsons. She also relished family time including spending time with her cousins, Carole (Bill) Petersen, Sheila Sheehan, Susan (Gary) Fischette, Alicia Klingaman as well as her former sister in law, Marcia (Jack) Keefe.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula (Oscar Herrada) Rapp, Ohio and Susan Rapp, Brunswick; her former husband, Paul (Janet Roberts) Rapp, Brunswick; her twin brother, Lane (Anne) Zugalla, Troy; her sister, Andrea (Paul Pionessa )Sapone, Lancaster, NY; her grandchildren, Sebastian and Benjamin Herrada and Tate Green as well as many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 4-7pm.
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10 AM at the funeral home and at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James J. Vaughan.
Interment will be held in Oakwood Cemetery Troy.
