I now live in Denver, but grew up in Iowa and attended Drake in the '60s with Linda. We both were "news nerds," altho that wasn't a phrase back then. I remember her wry sense of humor, and some late nights spent in the drafty "temporary" journalism quonsut hut building, and while producing the annual campus variety show. I'm happy to know she had a most productive life in New York, and offer sincere condolences to her family and friends.

"Fish" became a friend shortly after she graduated from Drake University and went to work as an editor at Meredith publishing in Des Moines, Iowa. We remained friends with my family and me for all the years since. She was an inspiration and font of information. She will be sorely missed in this world.

Thanks to Janet introducing me to Linda via email before Janet moved back to Albany, I was fortunate to be hosted around the city by Linda when I attended the National Organization for Women Conference in Albany many years ago. It was a pure pleasure meeting and hanging out with Linda. She took me to dinner and showed me the sights. She was indeed a very special person and I know she will be missed. Deepest condolences to her family and friends!

Although Linda's flame has gone out, her passion and warmth will most definitely live on. She had a clarity of vision and purpose that was inspirational and quietly dedicated herself to making the world a better place.

On behalf of the Charles L. Keith and Clara Miller Foundation...we will never have a President quite like Linda again!!! We will miss her leadership, intelligence and humor.
On the personal side, Linda was such a supportive and wonderful friend for so many years, that her not being at the other end of the phone will be an almost impossible adjustment.
With love and support to Janet and all of her family. Susan Ould
