Lillie E. Crocker Dingley, 76

East Greenbush Lillie E. Crocker Dingley, 76, of Best Luther Road, died Friday after a brief illness.

Born in Kerans, Texas, she was the daughter of sharecroppers, the late Alvin and Frances (Lundy) Crocker and wife of the late Frank E. Dingley II. She had resided in Texas for 35 years then San Mateo California, Smithville, Indiana and later Hoags Corners and in 1967 to Averill Park where she resided until moving to Ease Greenbush in 1999. She was educated in Texas.

Mrs. Dingley was a homemaker and worked at the former Hoffman's Restaurant in Latham for 20 years.

She was a member of the Genet Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in East Greenbush. Lillie loved organizing events for the Eastern Star, dancing, gardening and spending time with her family. You could hear her laugh a mile away.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Ponti-Maupin (Greg) of East Greenbush; two sons, Martin J. Dingley (Annette) of Colonie and David R. Dingley (Tricia) of Averill Park; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Dingley of Rotterdam; a sister Irene Anderson of Seattle, WA; nine grandchildren, Brook Bateman, Tammy, Tommy, Sarah and David Dingley, Nicole Hunsche, Gary Napoli and John and Gen Maupin and four great grandchildren, Nicholas and Conor and Sebastian and McKenzie. She was predeceased by a son, Franklin E. Dingley III; three brothers Jerry, James and Hershel Crocker; a sister Hazel Ivey and two granddaughters, Bridget Dingley and Teresa Napoli.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:00am at St. Mary's Church Lodge Street Albany where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 in West Sand Lake on Sunday from 2-5pm. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Cohoes.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Dingley to the Alzheimer's Association Capital District Chapter 85 Watervliet Avenue Albany, NY 12206-2083.
