Lela Chatlos

Lela E. Chatlos, 94

North Greenbush - Lela E. Chatlos, 94, of Winter Street Extension died suddenly Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Ancram, NY, she was daughter of the late Joseph Chatlos and Mary George Chatlos. She had resided in Poughkeepsie many years and Pine Plains and Hyde Park before moving to North Greenbush in 2003 and was a graduate of Pine Plains Central School and attended Krissler Business School.

Ms. Chatlos was a bookkeeper for George T. Whalen Inc. in Millbrook, NY.

At 5 foot- two and a basketball champ in high school, Lela, was known for her unstoppable hook shot and was a member of the team that won the Dutchess County Championship. She was an outdoors enthusiast and an avid golfer.

Survivors include her nephew and niece, Rev. C. Joseph (Mary) Ingraham, North Greenbush and several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Stephen, Frank and Albert Chatlos, Louise Chatlos, Mary V. Sauter and Marguerite Terry O'Neil.

Funeral service private at the convenience of the family.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Pine Plains.
