Khatoun A. Salibian DerBedrosian, 81

Cohoes Khatoun A. Salibian DerBedrosian, 81, of Cohoes, died suddenly Friday at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Marash, Turkey she was daughter of the late Avedis and Zarouhi Sanjian Salibian and wife of the late Khoren 'Harry' DerBedrosian. She had resided in Alepo, Syria for 28 years then came to this country to Springfield, MA for 2 years and resided in Troy and most recently Cohoes since 1949. She was a graduate of Alepo College and attended Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Mrs. DerBedrosian was a homemaker and an elementary Armenian school teacher. She and husband operated a meat market on White Street in Cohoes many years ago.

She was a member of the Association of Retarded Children, the Parent Teacher Associations and a member of St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet and its Mr. & Mrs. Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane DerBedrosian of Watervliet; two sons, Harold DerBedrosian and Karl DerBedrosian both of Watervliet; two brothers, George Salibian of CA and Samuel Salibian of MA; a sister Arsene Salibian of Lebanon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Harry DerBedrosian; a sister, Ferida Salibian and two brothers, Moses and Emanuel Salibian.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy and at 11:30am from St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church in Watervliet with Rev. Mampre Kouzouian of Massachusetts, cousin of Mrs. DerBedrosian, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 3-5 and 7-9PM. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. DerBedrosian to St. Peter Armenian Apostolic Church 100 Troy- Schenectady Road Watervliet, NY 12189.
