Kenneth A. White Sr.

Schodack - Kenneth A. White, Sr.,  87, of Route 150 died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn Albany after a long illness.

Born in Albany, he was son of the late Herman White Jr. and Mary Falker White and husband for 69k years of Nona V. Shuhart White. He was raised in Schodack, resided in Edgewater, FL for 15 years and the past 10 years in Schodack and attended East Greenbush Schools . 

Mr. White was a boiler operator and engineer for Brown Paper in Castleton and Fort Orange Press for 30 years, retiring 25 years ago.   

As a private pilot, he loved to fly and own his plane and was a member of the Castleton Boat Club and enjoyed hunting, and fishing.    

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Nona Ring, East Greenbush and Susan Gier, Rensselaer; a son, Kenneth White Jr., Schodack; his grandchildren, Jason Ring, Robert and Kevin Gier and Ashlee and Brett White; 4 great grandchildren, Rebecca, Jaylee, Alexis and Sydney; a brother, Paul White, FL and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Belinda Bayona and a brother, David White.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service which will be held Monday at 2PM at Elmwood Cemetery Route 150 and Shaver Road West Sand Lake with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush , officiating.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Kenneth A. White Sr. to The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County 295 Valley View Boulevard Rensselaer, NY 12144.
