Colonie- Kenneth Cropsey, 88,of Murray Avenue died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center in Albany after a brief illness.
Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Edward Cropsey and Anna Mae (McNuff) Cropsey and husband for 42 years of Marion Bills Cropsey.
He had resided in the Cohoes and Colonie areas all his life.
Mr. Cropsey was a meter inspector for the water department of the Town of Colonie for 27 years retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the Reformed Church of the Boght, CSEA and an Army veteran of World War II stationed in the Pacific theatre.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a sister, Anna Mae Franklin of Colonie;a brother, Arthur Cropsey of California; three nephews, Garrett Cropsey (Karen) of Florida, Howard Cropsey Jr. (Sandra) of Cape Cod, Malcolm Lyons of Albany; a niece, Linda Lyons of Colonie and two grand nieces, Amanda and Erin Cropsey.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 PM.
Interment Brookside Cemetery in Barberville.
