Kathleen Agnes Cahill Carter, 85

North Greenbush-Kathleen Agnes Cahill Carter, 85, of Northern Court, died Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late James Cahill and Helen (Reed) Cahill and wife for 62 years of James E. Carter.

She had resided in the Troy area all her life and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School class of 1939.

Mrs. Carter was a clerk for the Rensselaer County Sewer Department and the Department of Social Services.

She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill and a member of the Altar Rosary Society.

Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons, Donald Carter (Sandra) of Poestenkill, James E. Carter II (Lillian) of Knoxville, TN, William Carter (Barbara) of Irvine, CA. and Timothy Carter (Evelyn) of Brunswick; two daughters, Erin Carter-Hamlin of Wynantskill and Mary Elise Stegman of Wynantskill; a sister, Jean Hull of Latham; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Poulin and Marion Matwa and a brother, James Cahill.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9am at Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30am from St. Jude the Apostle Church Brookside Avenue Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Salvatore Rodino, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 4 PM - 8 PM.
