Katherine Salomone Zeronda

West Sand Lake-Katherine Salomone Zeronda, of Route 43 West Sand Lake, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 at her residence.

Born in Fitchburg, MA, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian Salomone and Maria (Bonomo) Salomone and wife of the late Edward T. Zeronda

She was raised in Fitchburg and Leominster, MA and Albany and resided in West Sand Lake since 1953.

Mrs. Zeronda was a homemaker.

She was a past president of the Kenwood Braille Association and the Children of Mary under the auspices of the Kenwood Convent of the Sacred Heart. She was a communicant of St. Henry's Church in Averill Park.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kristine K. Zeronda of West Sand Lake; two sisters, Josephine Salomone of Albany and Angela Ehrhardt of Queensbury; a beloved cousin, Dr. Matthew Casimo of Camas, WA and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her 'adopted' daughters, Brigid Sullivan of Morris, NY and Melynda Thomas of Keene, NH as well as her faithful dog, Tsar.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held privately.

Interment was in St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
