Averill Park Katherine Wilson Hill, known to her friends as Kay, 83,of Route 43, died Monday, June 27, 2005 at her residence.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John Wilson and Harriet (Whiteley) Wilson and wife of the late Thomas S. Hill.

She had resided in Averill Park for 60 years, summered as a child at Pikes Pond and was a graduate of Troy High School and Edgewood Park School.

Kay was a friendly and caring sales associate for many years in the family business, Hills Stationery in Troy, retiring many years ago.

She was a longtime, active member of the Junior League of Troy, received a 25 year service award from the American Red Cross where she was instrumental in coordinating blood mobiles in the Capital District. She was also an active communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Troy and a member of its Altar Guild and a longtime member of the Country Club of Troy and the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary.

She and her best friend and husband, loved to dance and often were noted for their flowing effortless rhythm. Kay enjoyed working in her gardens and lived to spent time with her grandchildren who provided love and purpose to her life.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Robert H. Hill II (Linda E.)of Averill Park and John W. Hill (Linda J.)of Averill Park; a daughter, Katherine H. Roberts (Terrence)of West Springfield, MA., seven grandchildren, Robert H. Hill III of Syracuse, Geoffrey C. Hill of Buffalo, Jonathan A. Hill of Averill Park, Ryan and David Roberts both of West Springfield, Kristin A. (Hill) DeFazio of Glenmont and Lauren E. and Lindsey J. Hill both of Averill Park; a sister-in-law and dear friend, Christine Wilson of North Greenbush, two nieces Tina (Wyn) Braun of Troy and Pamela Wilson of North Greenbush; a nephew, Terry Wilson of Glens Falls and her dear friends, Dude and Bob Birkby of Averill Park. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Wilson.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church Third Avenue and State Street Troy where the Burial Office will be read by Rev. Michael Gorchov, Rector. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery, in Troy.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Hill to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Third and State Streets Troy, NY 12180.
