Karl E. Steinbach, 45

Troy - Karl E. Steinbach, 45,of Ahern Avenue Troy, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Albany, he was the son of Gloria (Nolan) Steinbach of Troy and the late Joseph Steinbach.

He had resided all most of his life in Troy and earned an Associate degree in Mechanical Technology from Hudson Valley Community College in 1981.

Karl was employed at Kubler Auto Electric in Albany, was a Research and Development Technician for Wetherill Associates Inc. in Royersford, PA and most recently worked in stock and customer relations at the Home Depot in Rensselaer.

He was a member of US Naval Institute and a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church in Troy. He had a deep interest and knowledge in shipbuilding.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a brother, Martin J. Steinbach (Connie) of Brunswick; two sisters, Constance Steinbach Blair (Arthur) of Brunswick and Margaret Eastwick (William) of Wynantskill; two nieces, Katherine A. and Emily R. Steinbach and several aunts and cousins.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Church Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Donald Ophals, Pastor.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8 PM.

Interment Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery in Glenmont.
