Ballston Spa - Josephine F. Casorelli Riley Higgins, 89, formerly of North Street Ballston Spa died Friday, March 2, 2018, at Wesley Health Care Saratoga Springs after a long illness.
Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Rocco Casorelli and Carmela DeBonis Casorelli and wife of the late Leonard H. Riley and Francis M. Higgins. She had resided in Troy most of her life, formerly of 13th Street and in Florida the past 19 years and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School.
Mrs. Higgins was a cashier for Off Track Betting for several years retiring 28 years ago and previously worked as a cook for 22 years at the Troy Bowl and a self employed caterer.
Survivors include seven children, Rose Marie Cooper, Wynantskill, Christine (Terry) Carr, Kissimmee, FL, JoAnne (James) Baldwin, Beverly Hills, FL, Kathleen (Michael) Fraher, Orlando, FL, Leonard (MaryBeth) Riley, Green Acres, FL, Suzanne (Robert) Brennan, Ballston Spa and William (Charles Kennelly) Riley, Millville, MA; nine grandchildren, Gary, Kevin, James, Robert, Michael, Justin, Jeremy, Victoria and Matthew; twelve great grandchildren, a sister, Rose A. Seyboth, Troy and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Savina Sally Breen, Marie Higgins and Anthony J. and Savina Casorelli.
Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 10 AM-12 Noon with a service to follow at 12 Noon with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating.
Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum Troy.
