Josephine (Azzarello) Guthier

Brunswick - Josephine Guthier, 89, of Pinewoods Avenue died Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Samaritan Hospital.

Born in Alton, IL, she was daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy Ragusa Azzarello and wife of the late Francis John  Guthier for 51 years. She had resided in the Troy area since 1955.

Josephine was a homemaker. She was employed at Garden Way for several years before retiring. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Bad News Bowling League. She was an avid gardener, loved arts and crafts and liked to travel.

Survivors include her children, John (Claudette) Guthier, Granada Hills, CA, Kathleen McGinn, Rensselaer, Vincent Guthier (Michelle Wood), Averill Park, James (Elizabeth) Guthier, Eagle Mills and daughter-in-law, Sharon Guthier, Averill Park; brother-in-law Gerald (Joan) Guthier, Naples, FL;  her grandchildren David and Steven Guthier, Patrick McGinn, Christopher Miller and Susan Guthier; several nieces and nephews; and “that damn cat,” Boots.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Watervliet.
