Josephine 'Joy' E. Calabrese Cotroneo, 76

East Greenbush-Josephine 'Joy' E. Calabrese Cotroneo, 76,of East Greenbush, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, NY after a long illness.

Born and raised in Rye, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Calabrese and Sarah Ferrucio Calabrese and wife of the late Richard Cotroneo.

She graduated from Rye High School and resided in Port Chester. In 1998 she moved to the Albany area to be near her sons and their families.

She was an avid crafts person, made hundreds of blankets for children affected by HIV AIDS and was friend to many.

Mrs. Cotroneo owned and operated a mobile luncheonette, with her husband Richard. She was also employed as an invoice coordinator for Lillian Vernon for 7 years.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Cotroneo (Linda) of Clifton Park, NY and Richard Cotroneo (Elisa) of East Greenbush; six sisters, Louise Carpentieri, Sue Bochiccio, Mary Spinozza, Lucille Chabot, Sarah Telesco and Catherine Unger; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Laurie, Steven, Jason, Anna and Matt and many nieces and nephews .

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church 136 S. Regent Street, Port Chester, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Chester, NY.
