Joseph C. Lafferty

Joseph C. Lafferty, 90

North Greenbush Joseph C. Lafferty, 90,of Shepherd Drive, died suddenly Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, he was son of the late Edward and Margaret (Fahey) Lafferty and husband for 59 years of Viola Kachadurian Lafferty.

He had resided in Troy and North Greenbush all his life and was a graduate of LaSalle Institute in North Greenbush.

Mr. Lafferty was an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for many years.

He loved his family and country and was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II stationed in Germany and France. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Troy. Mr. Lafferty was an avid hunter and fisherman, two passions he passed on to his grandsons, Lane and Brad.

Survivors in additon to his wife include his daughter, Sharon Zugalla of Troy; three grandchildren, Lane Zugalla of Troy, Brad Zugalla of Colorado and Beth Anne Zugalla of NC and a sister, Mary Lafferty of Albany. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and Edward Lafferty.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route150 West Sand Lake and at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8:00 PM.

Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
