Jon Arvid Lundquist, 53

Geneva, NY - Jon Arvid Lundquist, 53,of Geneva, NY died suddenly Wednesday, October 17, 2007of natural causes.

Born and raised in Troy, he was a graduate of Troy High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Jon was the son of the late Henry E. Lundquist and Elizabeth (Dibert) Lundquist. He resided in Geneva for the past 30 years .

Jon was self employed working in private security for many years.

He was a history buff, attending many seminars in Colonial Williamsburg and was a member of the Colonial WIlliamsburg Burgesses and a loyal supporter. He developed an interest in world travel, circling the globe several times, having many travel related acquaintances. Jon was an avid reader and active supporter of the Geneva PBA. He was a NASCAR enthusiast and as a Jimmy Johnson fan, was on his way back from the Bank of America 500 at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC when he was stricken.

He is survived by two sisters, Karen A. (John) Peterson of North Greenbush and Gail C. Lundquist of Troy; a brother, Gunnar N. Lundquist of Troy; two nieces, Tory M. Peterson of Sommerville, MA and Amy M. Peterson of Arlington, VA; aunts and uncles, George and Adele Lundquist of Brewster, MA. and Eleanor and Constantine Chiger of Riverview, FL and many cousins. He was predeceased by an aunt and uncle, Alyce and Donald Hofferth.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment Oakwood Cemetery in Troy.
