John Petroci Jr., 72 Troy John Petroci Jr., 72, of Heyden Road, died suddenly Wednesday at Albany Medical Center Hospital Albany. Born in Hungary, he was son of the late John and Mary Popovich Petroci and husband of Irene Boyarski Petroci. He had resided the past 15 years in Troy. Mr. Petroci operated Irene Snacks with his wife in the Federal Building and the Concourse in the State Office Building in Albany. He was an avid golfer and a member of many golf leagues and was an Army and Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors in addition to his wife include two step sons Stephan M. Werelus of Buffalo and Eric M. Werelus of Lockport; three brothers Joseph Petroci and wife Loretta of Buffalo, Michael Petroci and wife Jean of Buffalo and George Petroci and wife Karen of Buffalo; two sisters Mary Ann Osuch and husband John of Buffalo and Irene Fisher and husband John of PA; several nieces and nephews Jan, Joe, Kenny, David, Roseann, Marcus, Joanie, MaryLou, SueAnn, AnnMarie, Michael J., Candi, Sherry and Marisa. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 5:00pm from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue Troy with Rev. William Small, Rector of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Troy, officiating. Contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Petroci to the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany, Inc. 301 Washington Avenue Albany, NY 12206.
