John J. Keefe

Wynantskill - John J. Keefe, 83, of Hillview Court died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Adams, MA, he was son of the late Maurice Keefe and Mary Bourdeau Keefe and husband of the late Barbara Burns Keefe. He was raised on Stowe Hill in South Troy and resided the past 5 years in Wynantskill and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. 

John was a Contract Auditor for the New York State Office of the State Comptroller for 20 years, retiring in 1990.  

His hobby was spending time with his family.    

Survivors include three children, Jeannine (Clement Borchers) Keefe, Ashland, MA, Thomas Keefe, Troy and Kathleen (Joseph) Styczynski, Wynantskill; a brother - Eugene (Joan) Keefe, Waterford; three grandchildren, Jack and Kyle Styczynski and T.J. Hathaway and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother, Maurice Keefe and a sister, Mary D'Allaird.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 4-7 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home.  

Interment will be in  Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of John Keefe to The Community Hospice (Gift Processing Center) 310 S. Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208.
