Jill A. Sharpe Ryan, 54

Wynantskill - Jill A. Sharpe Ryan, 54, of Edwards Road died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late William Walsh Sharpe and Martha (McChesney) Sharpe and beloved wife for 36 years of Thomas J. Ryan.

She was a lifelong resident of Wynantskill, a graduate of Troy High School, graduating in a 3 year speed up program where she was a member of the National Honor Society and also attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Jill was a member of the Mill Road Monday Night Ladies Golf League, Wynantskill School Ski Club, a Girl Scout leader and former Vice President of Classie Lassies in Wynantskill. She loved to create and was a gardener, floral designer, painter and enjoyed arts and crafts, golf and horses.

Survivors in addition to her husband include her daughter, Meagan Lynch (Michael) of Gaithersburg, MD; her son, Jordan Ryan of Wynantskill; her grandchildren, Mikayla C. and Morgan E. Lynch; three brothers, Curtis W. Sharpe (Tina) of Hillsdale, William D. Sharpe (Dawn) of Berlin and Kevin Sharpe (Carin) of Wynantskill; a sister, Wendy L. Pope of Dumfries, VA and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was beloved by her dog, Casper.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and at 9:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Interventional Radiation/ Oncology at Albany Medical Center, Cancer Radiation Oncology at St. Peter's Hospital, doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hospital Oncology in Amsterdam, Eddy Visiting Nurses and especially Veronica, and The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County and especially 'Angel Barbara'. Thank you to friends and extended family for all their prayers and well wishes and especially 'Jill's Posse', Kim, Bonnie and Debbie. The family sends a special thank you to the Seagroatt-Riccardi family for always caring for and loving us.
