Troy Jeanette H. Kachidurian LaPlante , 68 ,of Griswold Heights, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Watervliet, she was the daughter of the late George Kachidurian and Mildred (Moore) Kachidurian and wife of Lawrence R. LaPlante just 2 months short of their 50th anniversary.

She was raised in Watervliet and resided in Troy most of her life and attended Watervliet High School. Mrs. LaPlante was a homemaker.

She was a former member of Third Avenue Methodist Church in Watervliet and the church choir.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Jean-Ann Bridger(Derek) of Troy; a son, Joseph R. LaPlante of Troy; two brothers, James Kachidurian of Latham and Arte Kachidurian of Colorado; two sisters, Ann Charles of Texas and Mariam Mero of Poestenkill; many loving grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Virginia Harlow and brothers and sisters, Leo, Adam and Dorothy Kachidurian and Lucy Fagnet.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Michael Crandall, chaplain of The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, officiating.
