Jean Palitsch Coonradt, 86

Wynantskill - Jean Palitsch Coonradt, 86, of Sharpe Road died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Christopher Palitsch and Marie Doherty Palitsch and wife of the late Floyd Coonradt. She was raised in Troy and resided in Wynantskill since 1946 and was a graduate of Troy High School.

Mrs. Coonradt held many jobs over the years, her most important and proudest was caring of her husband and children especially her daughter Ronda when sick and her mother. She was a telephone operator, both local and long distance, for Bell Telephone and NYNEX, a carpenter helper at Watervliet Arsenal during World War II, a bookkeeper for Ludlow Valve and did window decorating and sales at the 5 and 10 cent store.

She was a member of First Reformed Church of Wynantskill.

Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey C. (Frances) Coonradt, Wynantskill and Thomas G. (Mary) Coonradt, Brunswick; a sister, Marie Meers, Halfmoon; two grandchildren, Emily G. and Darroch A. Coonradt. She was predeceased by two daughters, Debra J. and Ronda B. Coonradt.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday from 4-7PM.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home with Rev. Kerri Weldon , Pastor of the First Reformed Church of Wynantskill, officiating.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Jean P. Coonradt to the Arthritis Foundation for Rheumatoid Arthritis1717 Central Avenue Albany, NY 12205.
