East Greenbush - Janice E. Bonesteel, 54, of Louis Drive died, suddenly, Wednesday, June 08, 2016, at her residence.
Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late James Bonesteel and Nancy O'Brien Bonesteel. Janice visited and lived in many places, but always considered West Sand Lake her home. She was a 1980 graduate of Averill Park High School.
She was a cook for Salem United Methodist Church/Jubilee Child Day Care Center in West Sand Lake NY.
She always had an immense love for the ocean, especially Wildwood New Jersey, where she and family spent many years making memories
Janice was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, the West Sand Lake Fire Company - Ladies Auxiliary and spent many years volunteering at St. John's/St. Ann's Outreach Center in Albany. She was also very proud of the website she created "The YaYa Sisterhood" of Facebook: an international group for women.
Survivors include her daughter, Deanna Dobert, Greenwich, NY; her daughters father and beloved friend since 15, Tony H. Dobert, of Greenwich, NY; her siblings, Jo-Anne (James Ph.D) Czachorowski, PA, Jacqueline Schneider, Juttengen/Wurt Germany, and James Bonesteel, Averill Park, NY; her aunt and uncle, Ken and Betty Teal, Averill Park; and her best friends, Leighann Cranston and Jayne Hunt. Along with the countless friends she has made within her online group The YaYa Sisterhood of Facebook.
Relatives and friends may call at the Salem United Methodist Church 349 Shaver Road West Sand Lake on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 from 4- 7PM followed by a memorial service at 7PM with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush , officiating.
