James Zajesky, 67

Malta - James Zajesky, 67, died July 2, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.

Born and raised in Troy, he was son of the late Theodore Zajesky and Eleanor (Murray) Zajesky and beloved husband and friend for 16 years of Sandra (Verenini) Zajesky. He was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1958.

Mr. Zajesky was a 22 year Marine Corp veteran, serving as a Master Sargent having served in Vietnam and received several commendations including a Purple Heart. He later was a self employed subcontractor for many years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, James, Angela and John; his step children, Suzanne DeMarco and Debra Conboy; his brothers and sisters, Catherine Bourke, Ellen (James) Fortune and William (Nancy) Zajesky; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank (Donna) Verenini, Barry (Nancy) Verenini and John (Betsy) Verenini; several grandchildren; his Aunt Rita; his faithful dogs, Georgie and Gracie and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Alicia and a brother, Theodore Zajesky.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church 520 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Karyl Hopp, Pastor, officiating.

A special thank you goes to the Community Hospice of Saratoga County for their love and support.

Jim unselfishly donated his body to the Albany Medical Center Anatomical Gift Program. Interment, at a later date, will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
