James F. Larkin, 72

Lexington, S.C. -- James F. Larkin, 72, died August 19, 2009 in Lexington, S.C.

Born in Troy, he was a son of the late Thomas J. Larkin, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth McGrath Larkin and Anna Mae Malone.

Mr. Larkin served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, NC.

He retired from Xerox after 30 years of service. He was active in square dancing and was inducted into the SC Square Dance Hall of Fame in 1992. Mr. Larkin was a member of Square Dancing Sams Camping Club.

Mr. Larkin is survived by his wife JillAnne Larkin of Lexington. SC; children James T. Larkin (Shelley) of Rock Hill, SC, John M. Larkin (Tammy) of Rock Hill, SC, Kimberly Ann Larkin of York, SC, Daniel P. Larkin of Gastonia, NC, Patricia M. Larkin of York, SC, Sandra B. Anglin (Joe) of Edgemoor. SC; stepdaughters. Michelle D. Rogers (Ben) of Hanahan, SC, Melissa B. Nelson. (Josh) of Summerville, SC; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday August 25^th at 1PM at St. Mary's cemetery in Troy.
