James P. Crawford-Harris, 58

Wynantskill - James P. Crawford-Harris, 58, of Wynantskill died Friday, June 17, 2011, at his residence after a battle with cancer.

Born in Shirley, MA, he was son of the late Peter Harris and Wilma Snow Harris of Fulton, NY and husband of Annette Crawford-Harris. He grew up in Oswego County and has resided in East Greenbush and most recently in Wynantskill. He earned his Associate's degree in Agriculture from Farmingdale State College and was a graduate of the NYS Department of Correctional Services Training Academy in Albany.

For over 25 years, James was employed as a Security Officer for the NYS Department of Health and, prior to that, he was a Deputy Sheriff for Special Operations in Oswego County.

He was a member of the Tri Village Rod and Gun Club. He was a photographer and also enjoyed black-powder musket shooting.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother, include his two children Jesse and Rebekkah Crawford-Harris, his sister, Carollynn (Robert) Becker, Lincolndale, NY and three nieces, Teadie, Terese, and Brianne.

Relatives and friends may call at the St. John's Episcopal Church146 First Street Troy on Tuesday June 21, 2011 from 9:30 AM - 11AM prior to the Funeral Service at 11AM with Rev. Harry Heintz and Rev. Elizabeth Shen O'Connor, Pastors of Brunswick Church , officiating.

Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery Brunswick.
