Iva E. Perry Hengsterman, 88

Troy Iva E. Perry Hengsterman, 88,of Berkley Street, died suddenly Monday, May 2, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Ross Perry and Pansy (Acker) Perry and wife for 64 years of Edward F. Hengsterman.

She was a lifelong resident of Troy and was educated at Troy High School.

Mrs. Hengsterman was a retail clerk for the former H.L. Green store in Troy many years ago.

She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Tuesday Nighters at Hi-Way Recreation in Wynantskill and a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Troy.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Robert F. Hengsterman (Deborah A.) of West Sand Lake; a sister, Doris Stacy of Averill Park; a brother, William H. Perry of Simi Valley, CA.; four grandchildren, Robert (Staci) Hengsterman of NC, Richard (Stacey) Hengsterman of Clifton Park, Cynthia (Adam)Beal of Brewster, NY and Sandra (Dean)Krissler of VT; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Rose C. Snover and a brother, Ernest Perry.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue with Rev. John McAuley, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 12- 2:00 PM prior to the service. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.

Iva & Ed have a 1 year old Grandson Alex who has Down Syndrome. Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Hengsterman to Down Syndrome Aim High P.O. Box 12-624 Albany, NY 12212.
