Troy Howard C. Campbell, 74, of Tenth Street, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital Troy after a brief illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late Francis and Helen Tinney Campbell and longtime companion of Karen R. Maloney of Troy. He had resided in Troy all his life and attended Troy schools.
Mr. Campbell was a truck driver for the New York State Department of Transportation for many years, retiring 25 years ago.
He was a member of the Troy Lodge of Elks and an Air Force veteran.
Survivors in addition to his companion include a daughter Karen Campbell; a sister Frances Chicoine of Troy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Thomas and Harold Campbell and two sisters Evelyn Galligan and Helen Mann.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 12Noon from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy with Rev. Gary Merchure, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Troy, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 11am-12 Noon prior to the service. Interment Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
