Henry Otto Class III

North Greenbush Henry Otto Clauss III, 80, of Blooming Grove Drive, died 
Friday at Van Rensselaer Manor North Greenbush, after a long illness. 

Born in Nelsonville, NY he was son of the late Henry Otto and Marjorie Fitzpatrick Clauss. He had resided in Cold Spring for 71 years until 1993 when he came to the Troy area and was educated at Haldane schools.

Mr. Clauss  was a truck driver for Conrail for 35 years retiring in the 1980's. 

He was a member of the Cold Spring volunteer fire company and a Navy veteran of World War II. 
     
Survivors include a daughter Barbara Clauss;  a brother Charles Clauss of Cold Spring; a sister-in-law Madge Clauss of Valatie; three nieces Sandra Clauss of Santa Cruz, CA, Shawn Amador of Modesto, CA and Hilary Sericolo of Valatie; 4 other nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews Christopher and Ashley Amador of Modesto and Aidan and Sydney  Sericolo of  Troy. He was predeceased by a brother Edward Joseph Clauss.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 11am  from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. corner of Pawling at Maple Avenues in Troy.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home 10-11am prior to the service. 

Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
