Helen Nanarone Johnson Ercole , 81

Colonie Helen Nanarone Johnson Ercole , 81 ,of the Ann Lee Home died Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the home after a brief illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Rocco Nanarone and Lena (Sirraco) Benedict, step daughter of the late Edward Benedict and wife of the late Anthony Ercole and Alvin Johnson.

She had resided in the Troy area most of her life and was educated at Troy High School.

Mrs.Ercole was employed as a operating room aid at Samaritan Hospital Troy for many years retiring over 20 years ago.

She was a communicant of the Church of Saint Clare in Colonie and a member of the Crazy 8's Bowling League of Troy.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ercole of Colonie; two grandsons, Alan and Brian Wilder of Colonie; a granddaughter, Heather Wilder of Albany; two great grandchildren, Lia and Marina; a first cousin, Dolores Clark of Florida and a best friend, Lillian Splonskowski of Cohoes.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9:00 AM at The Church of Saint Clare 1947 Central Avenue Colonie where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue in Troy Sunday, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy, NY.

Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Ercole to the Center for the Disabled 314 South Manning Blvd. Albany, NY 12208. The family would like to thank the Ann Lee Home and staff for their loving care.
