Harold and Louise Scheck

Hendersonville, NC - Harold F. Scheck, 95, passed away in Hendersonville, North Carolina on March 11, 2016 after a brief illness. After graduation from Troy High School, he served in the Navy in World War II and worked at the Watervliet Arsenal until his retirement in 1977.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 75 years, Louise Iffland Scheck, 91, who passed on May 10, 2015. Louise also graduated from Troy High School and worked at the NY Telephone Company until her retirement in 1978.

Harold is survived by a sister, Laura Peak and her husband William of Troy and a brother, George Scheck and his wife Grace, of Narragansett, Rhode Island. Harold and Louise are also survived by nine nieces and nephews: James Schirmer and his wife, Ellen, of Troy, Lynda Minozzi and her husband John of Clover, South Carolina, Barbara St. Gelais and husband, Leonard of Watervliet, Bette Daloia and her husband Jerry of Rochester, New York, Christine Windover and her husband Douglas of Troy , Stanley Peak of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, William Schirmer and his wife Katherine of South Riding, Virginia, the Reverend Robert Peak and his wife Brenda of Binghamton, New York and Charles Scheck, Jr, Troy. Harold was predeceased by two siblings, Edna Scheck Schirmer and husband James and Charles Scheck and wife Patricia.

A memorial and celebration of both of their lives will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 12 Noon at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy and a graveside service at 2 PM at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville with their nephew,  Rev. Robert Peak, officiating.
