Grace M. (DerArakelian) Horr

Troy - Grace M. Horr, 75, of 115th Street and formerly of Cragin Avenue died quietly and comfortably, Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Samaritan Hospital after a  long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late Michael DerArakelian and Maude La Mont DerArakelian and wife of the late Robert Horr. She had resided in Troy all her life and was a graduate of Troy High School. 

Mrs. Horr worked at the Troy Housing Authority for 35 years retiring 10 years ago.  

She loved reading, shopping in NYC and spending time with her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Grace, would know that she loved taking care of anyone on need.  She would provide food, money and a place to rest.  The family prays that she will in turn find peace and comfort with her husband, Robert.

Survivors include her children; Kim (John) Canistro, Troy, Venus (Richard Guynup) Myint, Troy, Robin Horr, Troy, Charles (Judith Kimball) Horr, Parkville, MD, William Horr, Tampa, FL and Lee Kruszeski, Troy; her siblings, Mildred (Paul) Ludwig, Troy, Michael (Yolanda) DerArakelian, Troy, and Holly Erma (Joseph) Chenaille, Ballston Spa; 7 grandchildren and 1 beloved great grandson and 1 great great grandson.  She was predeceased by a brother, Harry DerArakelian and two sisters, Lucy Tinker and Alice Seymour.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Tuesday from 4-7 PM with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Stepanos Doudoukjian, officiating.
