Gladys (Kondakjian) Tutunjian

Niskayuna - Gladys Kondakjian Tutunjian, 82, died Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Newark and Belmar, New Jersey, she was daughter of the late Daniel J. Kondakjian and Satenig Poladian Kondakjian and wife of the late Hon. Henry G.  Tutunjian. Gladys spent most of her adult life in North Greenbush. She loved her companionship with her daughter, Barbara and enjoyed in later years, her time spent with friends at Coburg Village. 

Gladys was a Volunteer Coordinator for St. Peters Addiction and Recovery Center in Guilderland for over 10 years, retiring in 2008.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Tutunjian, Clifton Park; her sisters, Margaret Jeffrey and Virginia Kondakjian, both of NJ; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Bedrosian.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 4 - 7 PM.  At Gladys’s request, there will be no funeral service.

Interment will be in  Elmwood Hill Cemetery Troy.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Gladys Tutunjian to the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany 301 Washington Avenue Albany, New York 12206 .
