Gertrude 'Trudy' Colongione Scifo, 79

Brunswick - Gertrude 'Trudy' Colongione Scifo, 79, of Greene Street died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at St. Peter's Hospital Albany, after a brief illness.

Born and educated in New York City, she was daughter of the late Alphonse Colongione and Victoria Nardone Colongione and wife of the late Augustine J. Scifo Sr. She had resided in New York City where she lived for 20 years and had resided in Troy and Brunswick most of her life.

Mrs. Scifo was a homemaker prior to working as a clerk for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance 10 years retiring in 2005. She loved to play cards.

Survivors include her children, Robert P. Scifo Sr., North Greenbush, Joseph J. (Nancy) Scifo, Waterford, Janine P. Scifo, Clifton Park and Augustine Scifo Jr., Brunswick; a sister, Grace (John) Mainello, Troy; a sister-in-law, Patricia Colongione, Cohoes; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Colongione.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday from 4-8 PM.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 12 noon at the funeral home with Rev. Randall Patterson, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Troy.
