Gerald Allen, 69

Dalton, MA- Gerald Allen, 69,of Dalton, MA and formerly of Troy died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Cranville Place.

Born in Deposit, NY, he was the son of the late Samuel Allen and Grace (Bolden) Allen. He was raised in Deposit, NY and resided many years in Rio Dell, CA and was a self employed carpenter. He was a talented guitarist, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an Marine Corps veteran during the Korean War.

He is survived by three brothers, James, Thomas and Joseph Allen; a sister, Elizabeth Allen; a sister-in-law, Marion VanBuren of Otego, NY, nieces and nephews, Grace Perry, Paul Allen Jr., Mona Lee Allen and Paul Allen III. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Allen Sr. and a sister, June Allen.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Elmwood Hill Cemetery Belle Avenue Troy with Rev. Karyl Hopp, officiating.
