Georgeann Mosher Smith, 70

Poestenkill - Georgeann Mosher Smith, 70, of Willow Lane died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at St. Peter's Hospice Inn Albany after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was daughter of the late George H. Mosher and Helen Sebranski Mosher and wife of Daniel R. Smith. She and Dan had been together for 30 years. She was raised in Troy, had resided in Poestenkill since 1968 and was a 1960 graduate of Catholic Central High School.

Georgeann was employed as a taxpayer advocate for the Internal Revenue Service in Albany for 30 years, retiring in 2006. She also worked at the Country Club of Troy, Crossgates Banquet House, Normanside Country Club and the Fort Orange Club in various capacities including as a waitress, banquet manager and bookkeeper.

She was a member of the Senior Center of Green Island and Watervliet, a communicant of St. Henry's Church and enjoyed interior decorating and traveling.

Survivors in addition to husband include her four daughters, Deborah (Daniel) Holser, Averill Park, Donna (Alan) Gould, Wynantskill, Denise (Frank) Zibura, Greenville, NY and Dawn (Timothy) Doherty, East Greenbush; a sister, Helen Mosher (Bob) Gallagher, Ballston Lake; 9 grandchildren, Vanessa Mosher, Amanda Hepp, Zachary Zibura, Derek Gould, Cody Zibura, Kathryn Doherty, Brianna and Devin Holser and Lauren Doherty; 3 great grandchildren, Olivia, Hunter and Tanner Hepp and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Cossack.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Henry's Church Old Route 66 Averill Park on Thursday from 4-8 PM.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10 AM at the CHURCH where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas F. Holmes, Pastor.
