George W. Oldick, 88

West Sand Lake George W. Oldick, 88,of Seneca Road, died Thursday, July 21, 2005 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Minden, NY, he was the son of the late Charles Oldick and Mabel (Kenney) Oldick.

He had resided in West Sand Lake since 1961.

Mr. Oldick was employed as a tractor trailer driver many years ago and for many years was a self employed carpenter. He was a Sergeant in the US Army Air Force during World War II.

Survivors include a niece and two nephews, Diana, Don and Steve Oldick; his lifelong friends, Muriel Burbaugh, Stewart, Margaret, Wayne and George Eckert of West Sand Lake, and several friends including, George Cable and Bill and Richard Pasquini. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, his twin Harold, Howard and Viola.

Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
