Frances C. (Trebour) Seelig

Brunswick - Frances C. Trebour Seelig, 95, of Moonlawn Road died Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the residence of her daughter in Brunswick after a long illness.

Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was daughter of the late Louis Trebour and Agnes Rogan Trebour and wife of the late Frederick A.  Seelig. She was raised in NJ, resided in New Hartford, NY until 1983, returning to Toms River, NJ until moving to Brunswick in 2006. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Panzer College, now part of Montclair State University. 

Mrs. Seelig was a teacher with BOCES, Headstart and early in her career, Bloomfield Junior High School in NJ.  

She was a communicant of St. Michael the Archangel Church, a life member of the First Aid Holiday City Rescue Squad, life member of the Women's Club Holiday City West, a member of the Variety City Show Club Choreographic HCW and the NYS Retired Teachers Association.    

Survivors include her children,  Fredricka (Jack) Gordon, Brunswick, Karl F.  (Anne) Seelig, Jamestown, RI and Louise Ann (Rev. Manuel) Faria, Beverly, MA; her grandchildren, Matthew and Lori Christian, Kenneth Christian, Chad (Allison), Emily, Nathan and Johanna Seelig and Mary Catherine and Susan Elizabeth Faria, her great granddaughter, Gwenyth Barbara Christian and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Louis Trebour, and two sisters, Agnes Rustia and Mary Henry.

Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc.  276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 3-5 PM. 

Funeral service will be held Monday at 9AM at the funeral home and at 9:30AM at  St. Michael the Archangel Church 175 Williams Road Troy where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will be in  Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery Schuylerville.
