Evelyn Violet Perks Fagans, 91

Colonie - Evelyn Violet Perks Fagans, 91, of Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a long illness.

Born in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Herbert John Perks and Edith Gertrude Taylor Perks and wife of the late Wilbur Clinton Fagans.

She came to New Jersey at the age of 5 and resided there most of her life.

Mrs. Fagans was a clerk at 3-In-One Oil in Rahway, NJ and in the One Hour Martinizing cleaners in Elberon, NJ. In later years she was a caregiver for two friends in Oakhurst, NJ.

She was a member of the Senior Citizens of Ocean Township, NJ, attended the First Presbyterian Church, Long Branch, NJ, and volunteered at Literacy Volunteers, Troy, NY.

She is survived by a son, Eric C. Fagans and wife Debra Z. of Clifton Park; a daughter-in-law, Peggy A. of Boonton, NJ, wife of the late Gary L. Fagans; eight grandchildren, Michael J. Fagans (Deborah Deboer), Joshua D. Fagans (Emily), Seth A. Fagans (Johanna), Jason G. Fagans, Kellee M. Herrera (Jose), Heather L., Kacey T. and Jared C. Fagans; five great grandchildren, Gabriel R., Riley Q., Fiona R., Connor W. and Annabelle R. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Bernace, Venice, Herbert, and Victor.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Loudonville Presbyterian Church 22 Old Niskayuna Road Loudonville on Saturday, May 20, at 11:00 a.m.
There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Fagans to the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205.
