Eugene B. Ellnor Jr. , 82

Poestenkill Eugene B. Ellnor Jr. , 82,of Furry Road died suddenly Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at his residence.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, he was the son of the late Eugene Ellnor Sr. and Constance (Driller) Ellnor. and husband of Marjorie Beaumont Ellnor and the late Ina Pfeiffer Ellnor.

He had resided in Taborton for several years, in West Sand Lake for many years and the past few years in Poestenkill and attended Siena College and RPI.

Mr. Ellnor was a mechanical engineer for the Ford Motor Company in Green Island for 35 years retiring in 1976.

He was a very active member of the Salem United Methodist Church in West Sand Lake having been a Trustee and on many of the boards and operated the tool booth for the annual church fair for years. He was a member of the Averill Park Fire Company for over 60 years and its treasurer for many years, a 60 year member of the Apollo-King Solomon's Masonic Lodge in Troy, a member of Iran Grotto and a member of the Sgt. Walter Adams American Legion Post # 1021Averill Park, the Sand Lake Historical Society, Sand Lake Seniors and the Dowsers.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Susan J. Ellnor Rice of West Sand Lake and Mary (Donald) Gerlach of Binghamton, NY; a son, Gary Ellnor of Clifton Park; a stepson, Chris Kyer of Manassas, VA; two stepdaughters, Jan (Randall) Krampitz of Plymouth, CT and Audra (Robert) Stempel of East Berne; four grandchildren, Lisa Elizabeth Rice, Michael William Rice Jr., Jeffrey Cameron Gerlach and Jonathan Barlow Gerlach and several step grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Constance Ellnor.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 11:30 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church Shaver Road West Sand Lake with Rev. Dr. Patricia A. Bush, Pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Friday, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery, in Troy.
