Esther H. Doctor

Esther H. Doctor, 40 Troy Esther H. Doctor, 40, of Sixth Avenue, died Sunday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a long illness. Born in New York City, she was daughter of the late Eddie Nelson Jr. and Ann Marie Doctor and Fianc‚ of Rhett A. Harvey of Troy. She had resided the past 4 years in Troy and was educated at Monroe Business Institute in New York City. Ms. Doctor was employed in the purchasing department at Albany Memorial Hospital. Survivors include a daughter Shawanda Waters of Cohoes; a son Corporal John Russell Doctor of Fort Hood, TX; three brothers Edward Doctor of Queens, Emmanuel Doctor EL of Brooklyn and Earnest Waters of Queens; two sisters Darleen Nelson of the Bronx and Francine Nelson of Manhattan; two aunts Alqueen King of Virginia and Janie Williams of the Bronx and 4 grandchildren Shapre, John Jr., Dezmond and Masiere. She was predeceased by a brother Randy Doctor. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00am from the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy with Rev. Martin Wendell, Chaplain of Samaritan Hospital, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9pm. Interment Elmwood Hill Cemetery in Troy.
