Emily T. DeGiorgio Colwell, 75

Troy - Emily T. DeGiorgio Colwell, 75,of Sixth Avenue, died Monday, January 7, 2008 at her residence after a long illness.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian DeGiorgio and Mary (Prezio) DeGiorgio. She is survived by her former husband, John P. Colwell of Berlin.

She had resided in Troy all her life and was educated at Troy Schools.

Mrs. Colwell was employed at Price Chopper for several years.

She is survived by two daughters, Maria Colwell and Kathy (Joseph, deceased) Bottillo both of Troy; a son, Mr. and Mrs. John Colwell of Watervliet; grandchildren, Joseph Bottillo, Kathleen Bottillo, Christopher Colwell, Frank Colwell and John Patrick Colwell all of Watevliet; two great granddaughters, Kayla Belcher and Kristina Preston. Also survived by a brother, several sisters and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
