Elsie Marie Loker, 96

Averill Park - Elsie Marie Loker of Averill Park died peacefully at her sisters home, May 9, 2014. The Lord blessed her on her journey home.

She was born February 3, 1918 in a farm home in Berlin. She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Flossie Carr Loker. She is survived by her sister, Bertha L. Sour, Averill Park; her brother, Lawrence L. Loker, Blue Springs, MO; her nephew, Joby (Maria) Sour, Guilderland and his children Christopher and Kara and predeceased by her niece, Linda Marie Sour.

During WWII, she worked at Faith Mills in Averill Park and volunteered as a plane spotter nights at the station on Burden Lake Road. She also worked as the store manager for the Averill Park Market and Variety Store for 35 years.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10 AM at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150, West Sand Lake with Rev. Sam Kupeyan, officiating.

Interment will be in Berlin Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Elsie Marie Loker to the Averill Park and Sand Lake Fire Company Eastern Union Turnpike Averill Park, NY 12018.
