Elsie M. Clickner, 86

West Sand Lake - Elsie M. Clickner, 86, of Brookside Way died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Albany, she was daughter of the late Walter Earl Clickner and Elizabeth M. Duffy Clickner. She had resided in the North Greenbush and Sand Lake areas all her life and was a 1945 graduate of Averill Park High School.

Elsie was employed 40 years with New York State retiring 30 years ago from the Department of Transportation as a clerk.

She was a volunteer for The Community Hospice of Rensselaer County and Literacy Volunteers of Greater Rensselaer County and loved to travel.

Survivors include two brothers, Thomas W. Clickner Sr., West Sand Lake and Ernest A. Clickner, Melrose; a special friend and caregiver, Mel Schwartz and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter E. Clickner Jr. and Paul F. Clickner.

Relatives and friends may call at the DeGraaf-Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 4392 Route 150 West Sand Lake on Tuesday from 5-7 PM.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery Wynantskill.
